The CV Shortlisting service is designed for businesses who have received applications but need help deciding who should move forward to interview.
Shortlisting can be time-consuming, especially when CVs are inconsistent, candidates look similar on paper, or managers are unsure what they should be prioritising. It is easy to dismiss someone too quickly, invite the wrong people, or spend hours reviewing CVs without feeling any clearer.
We will review your applications against the role requirements, candidate profile and key priorities for the vacancy, helping you identify which candidates appear strongest, which may need further clarification, and which are unlikely to be the right fit.
The aim is to save time, add structure and give you a clearer shortlist before interview.
Application/CV review
A practical review of submitted CVs (up to 30) against the role, responsibilities and required experience.
Suitability assessment
An experienced recruiter’s view on which candidates appear most relevant and why.
Shortlist recommendations
Clear guidance on who should be considered for interview, who may be a possible reserve, and who may not meet the brief.
Risk and gap identification
Highlighting any concerns, missing information, job movement, salary mismatch, location issues or possible over/under-qualification.
Follow-up questions
Suggested clarification points to ask candidates before interview where more information is needed.
Hiring manager feedback
A simple summary to help managers understand the shortlist and make quicker, more confident decisions.

This service covers shortlisting support for one vacancy and up to an agreed number of applications/CVs. Additional applications can be reviewed by agreement.

A stronger shortlist saves time, reduces wasted interviews and helps you focus on the candidates most likely to fit the role.
